FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES
AAD and OSP require that ALL external proposals be ready to submit 7 calendar days before the sponsor deadline, to accommodate reviews and approval processes in a timely manner. Research funding comes from a variety of sources including government agencies, industry, foundations and nonprofits. The links below are a great start to finding funding announcements.

Proposal Procedures
Proposals may not be submitted directly to any external sponsor without the prior authorization of OSP. Please read the OSP Procedure 20002 Proposal Submission before preparing your proposal. All faculty/project personnel must certify that their effort, the salary costs applied to a sponsor program, are in compliance with regulations and VT policies, and are accurately recorded. All project personnel should carefully review VT Policy 3105 Effort Certification, and Policy 3240 Costing Principles for Sponsored Projects and Chapter 10.5.1 Effort Certification of the faculty handbook.
